The young Phobians lost top spot due to a protest filed by their rivals against another team but they reclaimed their spot after the lone goal victory on the club’s 106th birthday.
Moro Duga scored the lone winner in the 20th minute of action to make it four consecutive wins for coach Seth Hoffmann‘s side.
Auroras have also made it back-to-back wins on the club’s anniversary for the second year running. Last year, they humbled Accra Powerlines 3-0 at home on the 11th November.
Coach Hoffman’s side have been impressive in recent weeks, beating all the teams in the top half of the table, to head the log.
Auroras was formed in 1912 due to the growing membership of the club in the second decade of the 20th century so their predilections for winning games on the clubs anniversaries comes as no major surprise.
