Accra Hearts of Oak head coach Frank Nuttall says Vincent Atingah has done remarkably well to establish himself in the local Black Stars B team.
The towering center back was handed a late call-up into the Black Stars B team before the WAFU tournament but that did not deter him as he slowly took a grip in the team and ended up being amongst the best players when Ghana won the WAFU Cup last Sunday.
Speaking to accraheartsofoaksc.com after the final in which Ghana beat Nigeria 4-1 with Vincent Atingah doubling the lead and taking his tournament tally to two goals, coach Nuttall said:
“I thought Atingah did very well. You know the frontline of Nigeria is a strong frontline and Nigeria can be good going forward so I thought he coped with that very well.
“He took his penalty in a very cool way as well. He has had a really good tournament because he did not start in the tournament. He came into the team before the tournament for a short time so he has done remarkably well in a short period of time so very pleased for Vincent.”
