JOSHUA OTOO – UNDERDOG TAG SUITS US

Accra Hearts of Oak defender Joshua Otoo says the underdog tag placed on Hearts going into the return league of the Ghana at 60 Anniversary Cup match with Kotoko suits the playing body.

The Phobians were recently beaten by Kotoko in the finals of the MTN FA CUP but though they are holding the aces heading into the return encounter of the Ghana at 60 anniversary game against Kotoko on Sunday, having won 3-1 in Accra, the Porcupines have been picked as the favorites for the game.

“This suits us so well because everybody is saying ‘we are the underdogs’,” Otoo told accraheartsofoaksc.com.

“We have not forgotten we lost to Kotoko recently in the FA Cup but this is a different ball game. I believe it is a whole different game on its own because we won the first encounter at home and we have to avoid defeat to take the Cup.

“Remember Kotoko have a two-goal deficit to overturn and if they push, we will also get the chance to score so if they say we are the underdogs, I think it is okay with us. The pressure is not on us but on Kotoko to dictate the game and attack us to overturn the score.

“For us, we will stick to our game plan and we will try not to repeat some of the mistakes we did in the FA Cup. We will go all out to make the fans happy and proud and I am confident that at the end of 90 minutes, we will return home with the Cup.”
