New Hearts of Oak signing James Kwame Abban is relishing the challenge of delivering goals for the Phobians in the seasonâs run home.
The striker sealed a transfer deadline move to Hearts from city rivals Liberty Professionals, where he scored several goals in his one-and-half year's stay with the club and has added that he will not have any trouble adapting to the phobia game. "Goals, goals and more goals", Abban said when asked what he could do for Nebojsa's side in his first season. "I know I have to score and once I don't feel the pressure, I know I will live up to it. I like the challenge here because it will make me work well and become a better finisher. I will do my best to score many goals. I am always looking to be better every day and my ambition here is to play well and to be useful to the team, as well as score as many goals as possible, he said in his interview with the paper. The striker has insisted he was not forced out of Liberty as has been rumoured, but said he made the decision based on compelling football factors and added that, he is now focused on the challenge of adapting to the Hearts style. "I know it is a big difference but I think at Hearts you have to be 100 percent ready because, the games are tough. Playing at Liberty helped me a lot and I think I am ready now for the Hearts job. The Hearts stage is something on a higher level, and I hope it will be good for me. I don't think I will need time to settle. I just want to play football and this is a great opportunity to prove myself", he stated.
