Hearts centre back P. Boampong |
Hearts of Oak's centre back Phillip Boampong has successfullly undergone surgery at the Ridge Hospital Accra, to repair a bone damage in his right wrist.
Surgery was performed at the Hospital late last week by Dr. Bulley and his surgical team, who have since revealed to Hearts News that the defender will be back to play actively after some few weeks on the sidelines.
The doctors have made it known that Boampong is expected to undergo specific medical examinations and physiotherapy exercises in the coming days, all aimed at ensuring the speedy recovery of the young centre back.
"We thank God for it. It was a very successful surgery and we are expecting him back in action for his team in a matter of weeks. It had to do with a bone disorder, but once it has been dealt with he will be free to play without any pains", Dr Bulley told Hearts News.
It will be recalled that Boampong fractured his wrist a couple of games ago, which had prevented him from playing actively for the Phobians, hence the surgery to entirely correct the situation to save his career.
