New Hearts of Oak players |
In a bid to wrestle back the league trophy they lost two seasons ago Hearts of Oak have beefed up their already existing squad with 11 more players from all over the country.
This comes after the technical team in consultation with the Management put a host of players who were found wanting, on transfers paving ways for new ones to aid in the forward march of the team and the club as a whole. In last week Friday's edition of the Hearts News, we published the names of some players who have joined the team, with a promise of bringing out the full and approved list in subsequent editions. Categorically, the list has appreciated with some very interesting additions to the squad. The only subtraction to the earlier list issued is Richard Oti, who at the eleventh hour was whisked away to Tarkwa to sign for fellow premiership side fc Medeama. Not relenting in their efforts to fill in the gap, the Management in consultation with the technical team moved in to overturn the situation and in the process landed three other players who were more than willing to play for the Club Hearts of Oak. The three includes Black Stars midfielder, Laryea Kingston who completed his move to the team last Monday. Also in the fray is former Hearts keeper Philemon McCarthy who like Tetteh Nortey, makes a return to the Club that brought him fame and fortune. Lastly ferocious goal poacher, James Abban, formerly of Liberty Professionals who has six goals so far in the league, has also agreed to play for the team. Below are the full list of the new Hearts players who will join the already existing ones as they prepare feverishly for the second round which is not too far away. Goalkeepers Philemon McCarthy Defenders Soulama Ahmed Kouna (Left Full back) Mohammed Tetteh Nortey (Central Left) Godwin Quashigah (Central Left) Midfielders Iddrissu Moro (Defensive) Opoku Fofie (Defensive) Laryea Kingston (Offensive) Kofi Abanga (Offensive) Haruna Ganiyu (Offensive) Attackers Phillip Azumah Edward Affum James Abban Sadat Karim
