Nkrumah moves for the ball |
Douglas Nkrumah says his side will not underestimate Heart of Lions on Sunday, when the two sides once again lock horns, this time at the Kpando Park.
The Phobians head into this weekend's match on the back of several successes in their friendlies. However, Nkrumah says Hearts would not be taking their opposition lightly. "We never underestimate Lions because our record at Kpando Park is not very very impressive. It is a difficult place to go and battle a team that has made a great transfer market without a lot of noise, but with the right buys. It is fantastic to see how their team has been transformed, but I don't think that should deter us. We will go there and hope to get the best of results", Nkrumah said. The Phobians were held to a drawn game in Accra in the first round, but the winger is confident though the second game at Kpando will be tough he believes they have what it takes to collect maximum points. Nkrumah has reiterated that it will be a difficult game but remains optimistic that Hearts will prove their critics wrong and come out on top. "It wouldn't be easy. They will come for three points and so will we. But we will do our maximum best to beat them and collect maximum points. We need to go all out to get something. It is unfortunate that we could not end the first round on top spot, but that is not lost yet. Starting with this game, the big aim will be to collect maximum points in all of our games. It doesn't matter whether we play at home or away. We would pick up ourselves and go into the game. We have psyched up and will do our best to win", he ended assuredly.
