Ass.Coach Tanko with Nebojsa |
Assistant Coach Tanko Shaibu insists one glance at the Glo Premier League table is enough to remind him that Hearts of Oak are in great shape.
Third in the top flight after 15 games, the Phobians still have everything to play for over the final stretch of the season, according to the Assistant Coach. And despite dropping valuable points earlier in the season, Coach Tanko has explained that spirits are still high and will remain that way throughout the second half of the season. Speaking to Hearts News at the team's training camp at Lizzy's Sports Complex, the coach said "We are still right in there, and that's where we want to be. Yes, we lost some points during the first half but they are gone now - there's nothing we can do about them. We will reflect on the second half and make sure that never happens again", he assured. "We just lost our way. That can happen in the Premier League, but there is nothing to panic or worry about. We are in a fantastic position, and if our fans are that concerned, they shouldn't be. We are looking at those above, don't worry about that" he added. After overseeing a tough session for his stars at the training centre on Friday, Tanko spoke of his pleasure with the facilities that Hearts are using. "It's a fantastic place- really top-notch. We are out here to get the best out of the lads and I hope it goes well for us all", he concluded.
